How Can I Help?

I’ve been there! I’ve suffered from depression off and on for years and it especially hit after the birth of my second child.

I know how hard it is to stay motivated and accountable when it’s just so much easier to sit on the couch and stuff your face.

Who Is This Ali Chick??

me and the kidsI guess my ‘titles’ are: wife  step-mother and mama to a beautiful 7-year-old boy and 1-year-old girl.  I love tea, sangria, lazy Sundays, the summer and surfing the web.

I grew up in a house where food was hugely important. My father is an entrepreneur in the food industry so there is no lack of delicious, amazing food at my parents’ house. (Click here to see my father’s store and the kind of food I grew up with!) My friends knew that if they came to my house they would have a feast.

And while I was never obese, I wasn’t really athletic either. So food was an essential part of my upbringing and athletics were never encouraged. Needless to say, I wasn’t as svelte as many of my friends.

I first lost weight when I moved out of my parents house and I bought Power 90 from an infomercial.

But the real change came a few years later after my son was born and I was in a real rut.

My marriage was falling apart and I was feeling frumpy, fat and unattractive. So I started P90x for the 2nd time. Half way through the program my husband left me.

And even though my life had been turned upside-down and I felt so out of control, I remember being so thankful for the program because I was feeling so much stronger physically and that strength translated into the emotional strength I was so desperately needing! After P90x I didn’t stop – I got more programs.

I have used programs to help me heal after a car accident and a miscarriage.

I have used them to help me feel like myself again after each of my pregnancies.
Each one has helped me become the woman I am today.
And now I pay it forward. I help other women who are feeling lost find themselves again by going through the programs. They are challenging and push you past your comfort zone. But that is where you find who you really are!
